Every successful behaviour programme starts with understanding. That’s why we begin with a comprehensive, in‑home assessment, where your dog is most comfortable and behaviour is most meaningful.
During this session, I’ll take time to see your dog in their everyday environment rather than in a sterile setting. We’ll explore:
- Your dog’s history and learning experiences
- Their daily routine and environment
- The specific behaviours that have brought you to Wag‑N‑Sniff
Just as importantly, we’ll talk about you. Your lifestyle, your goals, what feels achievable, and the kind of relationship you want to build with your dog all shape the way we move forward.
We don’t believe in prescribing the same training plan for every dog, because no two dogs are the same. Equally, no two owners are the same. The way one person learns, communicates and lives with their dog can be completely different to another, and your plan will reflect that.
This is an opportunity to understand why the behaviours exist in the first place, then build a practical plan around the individual in front of me. That means considering your dog’s temperament, learning history, environment and motivations, alongside your own experience, confidence and day‑to‑day life.
Throughout the consultation, I’ll explain what I’m seeing and why. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and leave with a clear understanding of what is driving your dog’s behaviour and the direction we’ll take together.
Every recommendation is tailored specifically to your dog, your household and the relationship you share. Because meaningful behaviour change comes from understanding the two individuals involved and creating a plan that works for both.
If you’re ready to start with a clear, personal understanding of your dog’s behaviour, book your Behaviour Assessment & Home Consultation today.
